Sarah Peluse, Associate Professor of Mathematics at Stanford University, has won the Sastra-Ramanujan Award for 2026.
She was recognised for contributions to analytic number theory, additive combinatorics, combinatorial geometry, and group theory.
The award carries a cash prize of USD 10,000 and a citation, and will be presented on December 22, Srinivasa Ramanujan's birthday, at the Sastra campus.
Of the previous 21 awardees, seven went on to win the Fields Medal.
The international prize jury is headed by Prof Alladi Krishnaswami of the University of Florida.
