PM-SETU: National Steering Committee Clears Five ITI Cluster Upgrade Plans Worth ₹1,194.92 Crore in Maharashtra, Odisha and Jammu & Kashmir

Key facts

• The 6th National Steering Committee meeting of the Pradhan Mantri Skilling and Employability Transformation through Upgraded ITIs (PM-SETU) scheme, chaired by Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) Secretary Debashree Mukherjee, approved five Strategic Investment Plans worth ₹1,194.92 crore for ITI clusters.
• With these approvals, the cumulative investment approved under PM-SETU has reached ₹3,687 crore.
• A Strategic Investment Plan of ₹240.50 crore was approved for the Kataka ITI Cluster in Odisha in partnership with Tata Steel Foundation, with Government ITI Kataka as the Hub and ITIs at Choudwar, Paradeep, Jajpur and Dhenkanal as Spokes.
• A ₹241 crore plan was approved for the Pune ITI Cluster in Maharashtra, to be implemented by BVG India Limited in consortium with BVG Foundation, with Government ITI Aundh, Pune as the Hub.
• A ₹238.01 crore plan was approved for the Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar ITI Cluster in Maharashtra in partnership with Belrise Industries Limited, with Government ITI Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar as the Hub and ITIs at Paithan, Khultabad, Phulambri and Gangapur as Spokes.
• A ₹240 crore plan was approved for the Jammu ITI Cluster in the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir in partnership with Eagle Infra India Limited, with Government ITI Jammu as the Hub and ITIs at R.S. Pura, Nowshera, Samba and Kathua as Spokes.
• A ₹235.41 crore plan was approved for the Srinagar ITI Cluster in Jammu & Kashmir in partnership with Inderdeep Infra India Limited, with Government ITI Srinagar as the Hub and ITIs at Ganderbal, Kangan, Budgam and Charar-i-Sharief as Spokes.
• As of October 2026, 3,744 trainers have been trained under the Training of Trainers component (Component II) of PM-SETU through National Skill Training Institutes (NSTIs).
