- Face authentication was introduced in the NMMS app in March 2026; Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan and Uttarakhand have achieved 100% face-authenticated attendance recording.
- The latest version builds on a security update released in the last week of September 2026.

- Wage payments require multi-layered verification including an AI-based photo de-duplication module, electronic Measurement Book (e-MB) records of actual work, and Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) to workers' bank accounts.
- States have been directed to monitor use of suspicious or unauthorised applications and initiate criminal proceedings where misuse is detected.
- India has generated 10 crore 99 lakh 70 thousand Farmer IDs, within 30,000 of the 11-crore target set by Prime Minister Narendra Modi for December 2027, more than a year ahead of the deadline.
