Piyush Goyal Says Uttar Pradesh Aims to Raise Annual Exports to ₹5 Lakh Crore by 2030

• Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal said on September 27, 2026, that Uttar Pradesh targets raising its annual exports from around ₹2 lakh crore to ₹5 lakh crore by 2030, supported by global market access and Free Trade Agreements (FTAs).
• Goyal made the announcement at the fourth edition of the Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show, held from September 25 to 29, 2026, at the India Expo Centre & Mart in Greater Noida.
• The trade show features six partner countries, more than 2,400 exhibitors and over 550 international buyers from 85 countries.
• India's nine FTAs cover economies representing about $60 trillion in GDP and provide preferential access to a substantial share of global trade, according to the Commerce Ministry.
• The Commerce Ministry's export strategy includes the Export Promotion Mission and Districts as Export Hubs to help MSMEs enter international markets.
• Goyal highlighted Uttar Pradesh's expanding presence in defence, semiconductors and electronics, along with infrastructure such as expressways, modern airports and industrial parks, including an expanded robotics manufacturing facility in Greater Noida.
