Punjab Transfers ₹1,291 Crore to Over 37.43 Lakh Women Under Mukh Mantri Mawan-Dheeyan Satkar Yojna

• Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann announced that ₹1,291 crore was transferred directly into the bank accounts of over 37.43 lakh women under the Mukh Mantri Mawan-Dheeyan Satkar Yojna, taking total disbursement under the scheme to ₹3,934.80 crore.
• Registrations for 80.05 lakh women were completed as of October 29, 2026, against a target of one crore beneficiaries, with 1,37,723 Satkar Sakhis assisting the registration drive.
• The next instalment will be transferred on December 1, followed by a payment on January 1 covering three months of assistance, and the scheme is expected to involve annual financial assistance of ₹12,000 crore.
• There are no household-based restrictions on the benefit, and every eligible woman can register independently even if multiple eligible beneficiaries belong to the same family.
