Centre renews RoDTEP and RoSCTL export schemes and extends payment-default insurance cover for West Asia consignments

  • The Centre extended the RoDTEP duty refund scheme and the RoSCTL scheme for apparel, garments and made-ups exporters by three months to December 31, 2026, and continued enhanced insurance cover against payment defaults for West Asia export consignments until March 31, 2027, under the Export Promotion Mission.
  • The three programmes were originally set to end on September 30.
  • The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) notified that RoDTEP applies to eligible exports from domestic tariff area, advance authorisation, special economic zone and export oriented unit units up to December 31, 2026.
  • Launched in 2021, RoDTEP refunds taxes, duties and levies incurred by exporters that are not reimbursed under any other mechanism, with refunds ranging from 0.3-3.9%.
