TCS Introduces Custom SoC Design Services for Automotive OEMs

• Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) launched Custom System-on-Chip (SoC) Design Services for automotive original equipment manufacturers and semiconductor ecosystem companies.
• The services enable automakers to conceive, design, verify and implement custom SoC solutions for next-generation software-defined vehicles, covering architecture, design, verification, implementation, software integration and system validation.
• The launch responds to automakers' shift towards centralised computing and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), aiming to improve performance-per-watt and align compute capabilities with software requirements.
• Sreenivasa Chakravarti, Global Head & Vice President of Industrial Autonomy and Engineering at TCS, said the company combines semiconductor engineering, embedded software and systems expertise to help automakers translate silicon strategies into mobility platforms.
• TCS shares traded flat in Thursday's intraday session, having fallen nearly 5% over the past month and more than 9% over six months.
