Odisha to Develop 870-Acre Silicon Valley at Naraj in Cuttack for Semiconductor and IT Projects

• The Odisha government announced plans to develop Odisha Silicon Valley over 870 acres near Naraj in Cuttack district to host semiconductor, electronics, and IT projects.
• The announcement was made by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi at SEMICON India 2026 in New Delhi on September 18, 2026.
• The state has received investment proposals worth approximately ₹23,600 crore with the potential to generate 6,100 employment opportunities.
• The Naraj site offers connectivity to the Cuttack–Bhubaneswar urban corridor, multimodal access to Paradip and Dhamra ports, and proximity to the Mahanadi River for industrial water needs.
• Odisha has extended 25% additional fiscal support to India Semiconductor Mission-approved projects in semiconductor equipment manufacturing, semiconductor-grade gases, raw materials, and supply-chain segments.
• The state policy also supports engineer relocation, manpower skilling, internships, international patents, and R&D, and the Chief Minister interacted with delegations from Japan, Sweden, and Taiwan.
