Madhya Pradesh Launches Swamitva Adhikar Abhilekh Nispadan Evam Panjiyan Yojana-2026 for Free Registration of Rural Properties

• Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav and BJP national president Nitin Nabin launched the 'Swamitva Adhikar Abhilekh Nispadan Evam Panjiyan Yojana-2026' at Gandhi Nagar Ground, Indore, on September 17, 2026, as part of the 'Seva Sankalp Abhiyan' marking Prime Minister Narendra Modi's birthday.
• Madhya Pradesh is the first state in the country to decide to provide free registration of plots belonging to citizens in rural areas.
• The month-long campaign from September 17 to October 17 will cover all 55 districts, with Patwaris going door to door to register around 50 lakh privately owned rural properties.
• Citizens will not pay any stamp duty or registration fee, and special camps will be held at village and panchayat levels in three phases: September 17-19, September 24-26, and October 1-3.
• Under the Swamitva Yojana, 68.47 lakh rights records have so far been prepared for abadi land in 41,568 villages across the state.
• Patwaris have been appointed as Execution Officers, while Tehsildars, Naib Tehsildars, Revenue Inspectors, PCOs and ADEOs have been designated as Registration Officers, enabling registration at the local level.
• A dedicated state-level helpdesk will be made available to provide information and assistance related to the scheme.
