IIIT-Bangalore and Taipei Computer Association Sign Letter of Intent to Deepen India-Taiwan Tech Collaboration

• The International Institute of Information Technology Bangalore (IIIT-Bangalore) and the Taipei Computer Association (TCA) signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) to explore collaboration in artificial intelligence, electronics, smart manufacturing, smart cities and cybersecurity.
• The LOI was signed at Electronica India 2026 and is intended to lay the groundwork for a future Memorandum of Understanding covering ICT, the digital economy, science and technology, and innovation.
• The proposed collaboration includes knowledge sharing, policy dialogues, seminars and conferences, business matchmaking and delegation exchanges between Taiwan and Karnataka.
• Prof. Debabrata Das is the Director of IIIT-Bangalore, and Hsin-Lun Tsai is a Manager at TCA.
• The LOI does not constitute a final MoU or specify individual projects; it provides a framework to identify mutually agreed areas of cooperation before a proposed MoU is developed.
