IAF Launches Multilateral Exercise Tarang Shakti 2026 at Jodhpur with Seven Partner Nations

Key facts

• The Indian Air Force (IAF) commenced the operational phase of Exercise Tarang Shakti 2026 at Air Force Station Jodhpur, a day after the inaugural ceremony.
• The multilateral air exercise is being conducted from 26 September to 12 October 2026 under the theme 'Power in Partnership'.
• Seven Friendly Foreign Countries are participating: Australia, the United States, the United Arab Emirates, France, Germany, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.
• Foreign aircraft taking part include the F-35 Lightning II, Rafale, F-16, A400M, MRTT, C-130, C-130J and KC-30A.
• The exercise builds on the inaugural edition held in 2024 and aims to enhance interoperability, joint training and exchange of operational expertise.
• Several other Friendly Foreign Countries are participating as observers.
• Outreach activities include a dedicated seminar, an industrial tour, the Sekhon Marathon, heritage tours and yoga sessions.
