Harsh Sanghani Wins Second Term as President of International Cooperative Alliance Youth Committee

• Harsh Sanghani was re-elected unopposed as President of the International Cooperative Alliance (ICA) Youth Committee and confirmed as Youth Representative to the ICA Global Board at the ICA Global Cooperative Conference and Elective General Assembly in Panama City.
• Sanghani first made history on 3 July 2025 at the Festival of Cooperatives in Manchester, becoming the first person of Asian origin to lead the ICA Youth Committee and, at age 20, the youngest board member in the Alliance's history.
• During his first term, Sanghani introduced regular town halls, deepened collaboration with regional youth committees, and expanded youth representation in international forums.
• His five-point agenda for the second term includes a Cooperative Leadership Masterclass, a Global Cooperative Leadership Academy, the CoopEdTech open-source learning platform, a Global Innovation and Emerging Industries Incubator for youth-led ventures in artificial intelligence, climate technology, biotechnology and digital platforms, a Global Youth Cooperative Policy Forum, and a global study on youth and women's participation in cooperatives.
• Sanghani has represented youth cooperators at global platforms including the ECOSOC Partnership Forum and the ICBA Symposium at the United Nations.
