Arogya Manthan 2026: Nadda to Lead Celebrations of 8 Years of AB PM-JAY and 5 Years of ABDM in New Delhi

• Union Health and Family Welfare Minister Jagat Prakash Nadda will inaugurate Arogya Manthan 2026 on September 25 at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi, organised by the National Health Authority to mark eight years of Ayushman Bharat PM-JAY and five years of the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission.
• New initiatives to be launched include the National Healthcare Providers Registry Mobile App, NHCX Implementation Guide for Payers, Guidebook for a Model Digital Health Facility, Secure Data Environment application and Framework for Auto-Adjudication of Claims under AB PM-JAY.
• The Secure Data Environment, developed by NHA with the support of IISc Bengaluru, will allow approved entities to work with de-identified AB PM-JAY and ABDM data for research, planning and responsible AI innovation.
• AB PM-JAY, launched in 2018, provides health cover of up to Rs 5 lakh per family per year, has covered over 60 crore beneficiaries and facilitated more than 13 crore hospital admissions worth over Rs 2 lakh crore.
• In October 2024, AB PM-JAY was extended to all senior citizens aged 70 years and above, adding approximately 6 crore additional beneficiaries.
• Launched in September 2021, ABDM has enabled creation of over 97.8 crore ABHAs and linking of over 121 crore health records as of September 1, 2026, with more than 5.6 lakh health facilities and 11 lakh healthcare professionals registered.
• The event will recognise best-performing States and Union Territories under AB PM-JAY and ABDM.
