The Lalit Kala Akademi, National Academy of Art, announced 20 Lalit Kala Akademi Awards at the 65th National Exhibition of Art.
The Akademi received 6,175 artworks from 2,495 artists representing 27 States and Union Territories, from which the First-Tier Jury selected 270 artworks for the exhibition.
The Second-Tier Jury selected 20 artworks by 20 artists for the awards, spanning mediums such as painting, sculpture, printmaking, drawing and mixed media.
Awardees include Chandra Shekhar Sain for the terracotta sculpture 'My Entire World – I' and Pritam Madhukar Deuskar for the etching 'Of Time and The City'.
